Ropecraft,a small business run entirely by myself, I make and try to sell rope crafts and have been quite successful so far. The business itself came into being with me working on fishing boats many years ago, and with nothing to do on my watch started to play with rope. There were monkeys fists everywhere on that boat, no loose bit of twine or rope was safe. The ideas then lay dormant for a few years as i was driving lorries, until i got a job with Winters Marine and had more time on my hands to pursue the ropework. I made a start with small items like keyrings, then I have to sy I was so inspired by the work of Des Pawson that i went straight out and bought his books, which have since been like a bible to me, the man is a genius. A few years have passed since then and I am now the Foreman of Winters Marine boatyard and also Salcombe lifeboat crew member, and have quite a repertoir of knots and crafts under my belt.
